Privacy Policy
Digivetus (MailArtifact, mailartifact.com) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect and use information when you visit our website, contact us, or purchase MailArtifact Email Investigator.
What we collect
- Website and demo forms: name, email, organization, country, and message content you submit voluntarily.
- Purchases: payment and billing data are processed by Creem, our merchant of record. We receive order confirmation, license delivery details, and customer contact information needed to fulfill your license.
- Technical logs: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and reliability.
Desktop software
MailArtifact Email Investigator is designed to run offline on your workstation. Case data, evidence files, and indexes remain on your machine unless you choose to export or share them. The optional AI plugin communicates only with a local Ollama instance you configure — we do not receive your case contents through the desktop application by default.
How we use information
- Respond to support, sales, and licensing requests.
- Deliver license keys and product updates.
- Improve the website and comply with legal obligations.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers who help us operate (hosting, email, payment processing via Creem) under appropriate agreements, and when required by law.
Retention
We retain contact and order records as long as needed for support, tax, and legal compliance, then delete or anonymize where reasonable.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Contact support@mailartifact.com to exercise these rights.
